The Threshold Housing Society and the Community
Young people who need the benefits of semi-independent living have often been victims of abuse –sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional. Often they have been removed from their homes, fled or been kicked out. Threshold Housing Society reaches out to them before they turn to the society of the street. Our aim is:
· to empower and motivate young people to become whole human beings as independent and giving members of society
· to intervene before young people drop out of society or turn to crime
· to help young people develop skills and gain education so they can escape the welfare system.
